Welcome Cute Lil Rabbit! (But Can I Still Keep My Cute Gege the Little Tiger?)

So today is the 1st day of the year in Chinese Lunar calendar. It's the year of rabbit! Cute, dont you think so? I remembered last year I have to be on duty during CNY. The previous year, I went for a holiday in KL and were in Genting Highlands on CNY.

This year, I'll just go and spend my long weekend with self, family or friends. It's been a while since the last time I had long weekend.

To all families and friends celebrating Chinese New Year, I'd like to wish Gong Xi Fa Cai, Xinnian Kuai Le 新年快乐! (I hope I spell that correctly)

(P/s: terjemahan untuk Rabbit kat atas tu sila cari sendiri, hehehe)

MoonCake Festival!

One of the great thing about being a Malaysian, is that we have the chance to celebrate so many festival around. Hehe. Recently, not long after the peak of Eid celebration (we are still in Eid festive season now anyway) was the Moon Cake Festival.

So, few days back, me and my friends went to see the Mooncake Festival Celebration, located at the Carpenter Street, the so called Chinatown. (There is also the Indian Street nearby). It was a fun outing, and I had enjoyed myself that night. Thanks komity!

In some places, it is also called as Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival, or Lantern Festival.

There are famous myths related to the history of the festival, of them are the well known story of Hou Yi and Chang Er (there are quite a number of versions though) and how Han Chinese planned to overthrow the Mongols by the mean of mooncake. You may read more here. :)

See, lots of lanterns hanging around. Beautiful, isn't it? Oh by the way, meet me and my friends : the Komity. Say hi~ (however one of the member is missing. Huhu.)

Salam Aidilfitri! Have A Blessed Eid!

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera,

I'd like to wish Happy Eid to my fellow families and friends, an all readers who are celebrating Eid-al-Fitr wherever you are.

Have a wonderful celebration and May Allah Bless You.

Ikhlas,
Melody Myzmyn @ iramahati

Haha. Pagi-pagi sudah buat bunyi pelik. Eh, itu bunyi harimau mengaum lah, sila ambil maklum okeh. Kenapa buat bunyi harimau mengaum? Aisey, kan hari ni hari pertama tahun harimau dalam kalendar lunar? Which explains why I'm writing in red today.

Reunion Party : Merah Class 99, SMK Tabuan Jaya

It's been 10 years since we left the school. And yes, for some, it's been a long 10 years of not meeting each other. Thanks to my friends, we finally managed to organize the 1st Reunion of Merah Class 99, SMK Tabuan Jaya.

It might not be too grand, but grand and happening enough for us.
Though not all of the ex-classmates were able to attend due to distance and other responsibility, but hey, we made it!

And I hope this will be the kickstart for a merrier and more happening reunion next year. Thanks to my friend Fadzlan Yusuf and team for making this reunion a reality.

Til we meet again!!

Snood Inc's 1st Ever Engagement!

As colourful as rainbow that varies in colour
Different, but blends well with each other
Stands out beautifully as one, stands out more beautifully when together
Pop out after the rain to cheer up one sad little heart
And appear during shiny day too, making days more happy and bright
Thanks for everything, my rainbow.

These girls were my rainbow for the past weekend. And they will always be my rainbow at heart, anywhere and anytime. (Yeah, you too Carrie, Nira and Zue! Love the 10 of Snoodies!)

This pic was taken during Nutz's Engagement Day last weekend at Sungkai, Perak. She is the first in Snoodies to step up to another level. Congrats dear! As it was the first engagement ever for Snoodies, we were very excited, very thrilled, and nervous too haha. Now that Nutz had made the first step, hopefully the other 9 of us will follow the trail some time soon. (Who's next? Art?)

Thanks for giving me a beautiful weekend, babes. Words can't tell how much I do appreciate and cherish the moments we have together. I just know that I am so lucky to have friends like you. And I pray to God that the 10 of us will remain friends forever.

And guess who the lucky guy is?

It's Kongz @ Ikmal from the WHA family!

Too bad u dont get the title of 1st WHA-ian who is getting married Kong, coz Plamz @ Khairisyah was the one. Hehe. (But the title of 1st WHA ladies is still up for grabs though. Haha!)

Cheers,
(^_^)

Posto! Posto!

I havent received any Raya card yet, so far. Though I did received some electronics greetings in my inbox. Maybe Raya card is not in anymore. Maybe people nowadays have less time to go to the store and buy Raya cards and less time to go to post office to send them. Plus, e-cards are far more convenient.

But the feeling is not the same, kan people kan?

I remembered those times when me and my friends would together went to buy some cards, each cost us around 30-50 cents (cari kad murah je, considering we were school kids and we have to send quite a lot of cards. Kad mahal sikit were for special ones, like best friends, uncle, aunts, cousins, grandparents) and then exchanged them among ourselves. I missed those times writing cards and then posting them to friends and relatives whom are living out of town.

I remembered those times when I would stand at the corner of the wall to have a peek on my postbox whenever the postman were coming. Just to see whether there's any mails for me. And as soon as the postman left, I would run to the postbox. Hehe.

By the way, I am writing some Raya cards now. Hopefully I can post them by this week.

And oh, instead of Raya card, I received a lovely postcard from a lovely lady this morning. And that really made my day. Thanks, Ana Raffali! I love it!

Chill!

Eid Celebration

I am enjoying each and every second of my Aidilfitri. Meeting lots of long-lost relatives and friends, it's a great thing that I still have chance to meet them. Though there were some matters that I am not so happy with (which is the fact that Brunei and Malaysia were not celebrating their 1st Syawal on the same day!! Duhh~ *sigh* ) but overall I'm happy and grateful that I have chance to celebrate Syawal in peace and harmony this year.

It's 3rd day of Eid (2nd day for Bruneians), today me and my family are going to Miri. Yay!!
